Solar Energy Installation Managers

Solar energy installation managers oversee the installation and maintenance of solar panels and other renewable energy systems. They need to be familiar with both the technical aspects of solar energy systems as well as the management and supervisory skills needed to run a successful installation project. Their duties support others who work in the geosciences and may include:

  • Planning and designing solar energy systems, taking into account factors such as site location, weather conditions, and available sunlight.

  • Supervising the installation of solar panels and other equipment, ensuring that it is done safely and according to code.

  • Maintaining and inspecting the solar energy system to ensure that it is operating efficiently and correctly.

  • Training and supervising a team of installers, technicians, and other personnel.

  • Keeping up to date with the latest technology and best practices in the field of solar energy installation.
