Intelligence Analysts
Intelligence analysts in the geosciences are responsible for collecting,
analyzing, and interpreting data related to Earth’s systems and
processes. They may work with a variety of sources of information,
including satellite imagery, remote sensing data, field observations,
and numerical model output. They require a moderate background in the
geosciences to be involved in:

Studying the behavior of the Earth system, including topics such as
climate change, natural hazards, water resources, and environmental
degradation.

Understanding how Earth’s systems are impacted by human activities.

Working as part of a team with other scientists and specialists to
solve complex problems and make informed decisions.
